VA Hearing Aids
VA hearing aids are a great option for those who qualify. They’re free, come with an incredible warranty that covers the cost of repairs or replacement if your device is lost, stolen, or damaged and they last for five years on average. You won’t have to worry about expensive replacements when your old ones break down and you get a new set every five years!
The Department of Veterans Affairs has a program called the Hearing Loss Program which provides help for veterans who have hearing loss due to injury or disease. This program helps veterans find ways to deal with hearing impairments and provide information about services they may need.
Military personnel face many risks during their time on the job; one prevalent injury that is consistently reported in VA’s service records is hearing loss caused by either injury or disease. This program is effective and very helpful towards helping veterans improve their quality of life after coming back from war with hearing issues and other disabilities.
The VA offers two main services to help veterans deal with hearing loss – free or low-cost health care, and monthly tax-free payments.
REGISTRATION FOR VA HEARING AIDS
In order for veterans to enroll in the VA healthcare system, they need to know which medical center they prefer and then register there. Registration entails submitting their driver’s license (or any other relevant documents) along with filling out forms online or by mail. After this process is complete, veterans can rest easy knowing that they have access to some of the best health care around.
